LCD Display - appears to be fault

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Just noticed (espace phase 4 lcd display) the following:

If you look at the display - bottom right corner to speed readout, but left of red alarm warning - there appears in a certain light a quarter of a circle (aprox 4mm radius) blotch on the screen just in front of the LCD, but behind the screen you can touch. Tried to get a photo, but does not show up. Best way to describe it is like on oily film with circular rings.

Anyway not a big issue - but would be if it spread. Almost looks like something has overheated behind it, although does'nt seem to be anything in that vicinity.

Any ideas appreciated.........
