Re: Error message on a fully working electronic parking brake

Assuming that your car has a manual transmission get the fault codes read and see if it is logging clutch position sensor error, I had this on my Laguna 3 and it turned out to be the clutch position sensor mounted on the clutch pedal. Garage cleared error codes several times and Renault dealer first said no error codes and suspected wiring fault then said system reset and checked but fault always came back, eventually selling garage replaced the sensor after I spoke to tech about the fact that it always logged clutch position error. It no doubt helped that I had obtained a wiring diagram for the epb module and made him aware of the clutch position sensor input to pins E2,3,4 of the epb module on the Laguna 3.
