Megane 1.5 Dci owners!

Hi all
I know you have probily heard so many times before but im just wanting a quik run down of the megane 1.5dci.

Im going to view one today, iv been to see a few, driven a 120bhp model and i must say i was not bowled over by its power compared to the 1.5dci 80

iv heard the injectors and too much of a common problem? and the iv read up that EGR vavles have a habit of getting stuck open or shut, ether way not good
out of 10 what you give the engine? i love the ride, looks, interia goodies, the mpg and insurance costs but i dont want it to bankupt me!

Re: Megane 1.5 Dci owners!

We have a 1.5dci Megane, its much more comfortable than my Clio (same age) and better on fuel. 35 a year road tax and cheap insurance, if I had to get rid of one of them, It'd be the Clio that went

Re: Megane 1.5 Dci owners!

The 1.5 Dci enegine is prone to sticking piston rings.
Insist you see the engine starting from cold after being left overnight. If the tail-pipe blows blue smoke on start-up walk away.
