Clio vibration

Got a Clio 1.2 16v which has an intermitant vibration when decelerating. Cannot seem to locate it but can feel it in the steering wheel when it occurs. Had a recent clutch change but everything seems OK with the clutch and gearbox. Has anyone out there got any ideas?

Send a message via MSN to GeordieClio

Im actualy having to put up with this problem at the moment and its my driveshaft thats at fault (Can't afford to fix it atm :P)

But, I would start with getting your front wheels balanced that can cause a vibration although i thought you would feel it more at higher speeds.

Im sure once lagdti see's this he will have the answer

Hello David and welcome to the forum.

Was the vibration there before you had the clutch changed?.If not, then take it back and complain!.

I suspect that it is,as GeordieClio says,a driveshaft problem,or it could very well be something inside the gearbox. It could even be a gearbox mounting not done up properly or a damaged engine mounting.I'd get it looked at asap to make sure it's safe to drive......

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
