Re: Renault Scenic 1.5dCi 106

my 2006 1.5Dci 106bhp scenic will return 50+ mpg most of the time when using motorways/good A roads, but when town driving (stops and starts) it will go down to 34-39 mpg. HTH. Even driving like a saint it has never returned figures as high as roby37's

Re: Renault Scenic 1.5dCi 106

I am now aware of a Renault actis solution which involves the adjustment of the injectors position, symptoms can be harsh noise and black smoke on start up and fuel economy. It involves loosening the injectors and turning them slightly to improve the spray pattern to improve combustion. May be worth mentioning to Renault.

Re: Renault Scenic 1.5dCi 106

My experience of Renault diesel engines is that they are one of the few that do what it says on the can in terms of matching the official consumption figures. My 1.5 dCi, admittedly in a rather lighter Cio, does 66 mpg, week after week (I measure it at every fill-up).
A Scenic should do 57 mpg with a good proportion of motorway driving.
