Work done under warranty

We have had several jobs done under the warranty, which is due to run out in a matter of weeks, can you tell me if this work is guaranteed at all. e.g we have just had a new steering rack will the guarantee run out on this when the warranty ends.
Now the car has had to go back to the main dealer again for a different problem. We have had problem with the battery going flat for no apparent reason, renault assistance came out today (3rd time) and replaced the battery, after this the key would not work, when putting the card in coming up with insert card and it wasn't registering at all, all the warning lights were flashing though, he tried everything and eventually it had to go on a low loader to the main dealer.
I'm worried that if the battery is disconnected again will the same thing happen and will we be covered for it

Work done under the manufacturer's warranty is only covered for the duration of it. ie something changed a day before it expires is not covered beyond it!! I'm sure you would get contributions for major things like engines and gearboxes though.

Have you had a quote for an extended warranty?

Thanks for that, we've only had the car since July it went in in Sept was in for 17 days now back in again for the problem I mentioned, does the car have to be reprogrammed every time the battery is changed? any idea how much extended warranties are please, we have been offered to change the car by the garage where we got it just wondering if that is a better option
