Have you been able to establish that there is in fact an engine misfire - no point in throwing money in the wrong direction.

Also if only one coil is faulty why replace all four.

Well not yet checked for a misfire, I will check this tonight. From what I have read one way to check which one is faulty is to simply use one new coil to change out each of the existing ons, one by one. When you notice a difference you have found the failed coil . They work in pairs 1&4 and 2&3. So you only replace 2 - the failed one and it's partner. In answer to your question about why I would replace all four, I guess I just figured that they sound like they go pretty regularly on the Renaults and so while I was at it... I found some pretty cheap ones online:

As you say though, if I don't find a misfire it could be something else. That scares me. I guess I am going to have to take it to a garage. This car has cost me almost half its value in repairs in just one year!!! Not very happy with it.
