One mechanic I knew a long time ago used to test if the high tension current was going to each plug by simply holding each connection in turn to see which one was misfiring.
Currently in davesss's garage:
2002 Laguna Sports Tourer 1.8 Dynamique Moondust VF1KGOB, Fiat Siecento Micheal Schumaker, Kawasaki KLE M/Cycle and a cheap Mountain Bike.

I made a stupid mistake onceI

Got to be the worst six months of my motoring history

Never read Beauty magazines they will only make you feel ugly

I take it none of you guys have heard about the M3 owner in the States who topped his oil up. He forgot to put the cap back on and lost it on the road. When he realised what he had done, he took his socks off and jammed them in the hole to get himself home. He started up, the socks got sucked in and trashed the engine

That's bad enough, but he then posted about on the Beemer forum

trying to trace a starting fault on my xr3 having taken off n checked the rotor arm replaced the dizzy cap n proceeded to change coil ,coillead ,plug leadss,, plugs ,still wont start ,thats when i notice the rotor arm sat on the slam bar doh ! thank god i changed it for the rs solid state ignition soon after .
