Lost radio code - dealer success

The battery on my Honda Civic went flat and the radio ceased to function. Being a Honda the code system is entirely different than most others. I tried the internet but no one was able to supply the 5 digit code.

I rang my local Honda dealer and enquired. I was advised to recover the radios serial number and was instructed how to do so without removing the radio. Sure enough up popped the serial number on the display. I then phoned back and then after quoting the VIN number plus serial no. I was given the correct code all over the phone at no cost.

Now thats what I call customer service - the Renault dealers a few doors up charge 15 plus VAT and you have to go in person, etc.
