Start Button - Press or Hold?

I seem to recall (though it's not something I took much notice of) that I always used to press my Start button once and it would start the car. Even if it needed to turn over a couple of times first I didn't need to hold it in (I think!).

Got my car back from the dealer yesterday after having the clutch replaced and now I have to hold it until it starts every time. If it has to turn over a couple of times, that's how long I have to hold it.

What is everyone elses like?

the Megane I hired was a push to start. Is there a sensor on the clutch / gearbox to stop the car starting with the gears engaged, if so this may have been disturbed when the clutch was done.

For me it's just a quick press and let it do the rest. It always seems to bemuse passengers who've never been in the car before

I think I have CDO. It's like OCD, but with ALL THE LETTERS IN THE RIGHT ORDER

As OG and the others have said - push once and let the car take over. it is also easy to reset if you follow OG's link.
