Since your getting guarantee work, hopefully it will turn out ok.
You might get some actual scenic responses'''
There are no absolute component experts here afaik, just guesstimators
What I can say is my last car , the front discs(oem) lasted 60-70k km. The replacement non oem discs lasted another 70k km and were still ok.(rear was drum)
Rear ones you would think should last longer, assuming no binding.

Pads : maybe 30-40% of that depending on use/grade of pad.

Its not one of those auto parking brake on a hill models is it?

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.

Thanks Coup...

I still had to pay for the brake pad even though they paid for the brake disc, but I'm starting to think I should ask for a refund on the pads as well...

I'm just afraid this component failure might happen when I'm at high speed on the freeway or going down a mountain pass and I loose my breaks. It happens quickly, within a day (which was over a weekend) the pads started scraping the discs and you immediately loose breaking power!
