Steering has gone heavy

hi ive got a clio .14 m reg and the steering has gone really heavy as though the pas has given up on me. Ive checked the fluid levels for it and its ok. Could it be a the pump? how much do you think it will cost to get it sorted out?

Hi Steph, I'm sure one of the tech guys will pick this up later but it does sound like either the pump or the steering rack, does the pump appear to be turning okay?

Send a message via MSN to GeordieClio
Is there any noises from the steering when you turn it? Also have you noticed any fluids on your drive? Red?

I know some clios are electric but im not sure about the older models!
