Smile Traffic van SL27 115 07

Am thinking of buying a Traffic van SL27 115 on a 07 plate, my only concern is that it has done 95000mls with a part service history, It will come with six months warrenty and is being brought from a small local garage (been there for years). Is there anything i should watch out for!! thanks

Re: Traffic van SL27 115 07

Aside from the usual signs of use & abuse that all vans suffer from in varying amounts, I would check for conclusive proof that the cambelt has been changed at the correct interval, and that there is some way to confirm the mileage as genuine.

For peace of mind, I would also ensure it is serviced as a condition of sale, that way the impact of any missing service history is minimised.

At least you have some comfort in knowing the van must be fairly reliable to have covered some 20k per year.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

Re: Traffic van SL27 115 07

When buying any second hand commercial vehicle it best to rty to establish who owned it previously. Company vans do tend to get abused especially if a number of different drivers have had use. Whereas if the veicle was driven by a lone user or a
small business then the chances of suffering abuse are reduced.

One type of van I would try to stay clear off is one used by a building company.
