clio 16v or williams?

Hi I'm after a fun car cos the family thing is like driving a barge (fusion 1.4tdci). So what car gives the more smiles per pound? I'm looking at an old clio 16v and spending some money modding it, or shall i just spend the lot on a cheap williams clio? If anyone driven both and has some advice it'll be a big help - thanks

Apart from the cosmetic look's there basicly the same car. Both have the same engine but i think the williams is bored out to a 2 litre and has some different internals.Personaly i would have the williams over the 16 v.

If you want something to keep standard and look after, then get a Williams.

If you want to have just as much fun, save yourself a few quid and personalise it,buy a 16 valve.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
