Key card wallets

I have a great tip for all renault owners that have Key Card ignitions , I have just purchased my 1st Laguna and unfortunately It came with just the Key card and not nice leather wallet to keep the key safe.

I contacted Mr reanult and he wanted 17 quid plus vat , so with that, I have just visited ebay did a bit of the old bidding and got a key card wallet in great nick for just under a fiver , so If you want somthing that you know the dealer will charge mega bucks , give ebay a try 1st you never know.

I always check ebay for renault bits but it does not always work out cheaper, always check the price with renault first.

I bought a full set or Renault mudflaps, £60 from renaults and the bidding on ebay was up to £70 plus postage.

Hi, dont know about the 2006 models but you only used to get the wallets if the car was "hands free and keyless entry" ie the ones you dont need to put in the card reader (3 buttons.)
The other ones you had to pay for or beat the salesman to death over

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?

Our 2004 non handsfree Lag came with a wallet, so did the loan car we had.
The hands free megane cc 2006 didn't come with a wallet. A wallet did arrive in the post courtesy of Renault finance, so I assume had we not bought the car as a lease deal we wouldn't have had a wallet.

Wallets can go for stupid money on ebay as well. I thought about getting another one for my wife, and watched several auctions but they all went for over a tenner.

Both of my Lagunas to date have come with two keycards but just one wallet. That includes the 02 with the non-handsfree card and the 05 with the handsfree.

To be honest, I found the wallet to be more hassle than it was worth on the non-handsfree card. As for the wallet for the handsfree - like all good things in this household, it somehow ended up in the wife's posession rather than mine
