3200 at 70mph is right, my 1.8 does that.

I had to adjust my driving slightly after driving a 1.6 Astra, I go through a small village most days and to take a couple of severe bends in the Laguna I had to use 2cnd gear which with the different torque of the Astra I used to do in third gear so in all gears higher revs are needed. Just down to the different torque characteristics.

But the Laguna 1.8 is more economical than the 1.6 Astra.
Currently in davesss's garage:
2002 Laguna Sports Tourer 1.8 Dynamique Moondust VF1KGOB, Fiat Siecento Micheal Schumaker, Kawasaki KLE M/Cycle and a cheap Mountain Bike.
