Hello and good evening.

I am looking for some help and advice with regard to the range of Renault Clio as my wife has her heart set on getting one....and I do quite like the look of them myself. I am into Alfa's myself but I have had a string of Renaults in the past... R12 ts (1973), R20LS (1980), R20 TS (1981), R18GTX (1983) and a 1984 Fuego GTX.

I know nothing of the current range so I'd appreciate knowing the pros and cons of the Clio. We are considering a 2007-2010 Clio 1.2 (or the 1.5 diesel) dynamique.

Very many thanks, in advance
Currently in Leitrim155's garage:
2005 Alfa Romeo 156 veloce 1.9jtd mjet

Re: it any good?

Mainstay of the renault range.
At various times since the 90's its been there or thereabouts as a top "small car" whatever that means
With the advent of online reviews you can get a testers opinion on any model from like 2000 onwards.

The majority of members and posters here have clio's
Most of the posts on here are people looking for help with one problem or another with their cars.
The Clio's considering the site member % seem to have fewer problems than all other renault models.

Also consider that in one sense this is an anti renault site! as once again the majority of posts are concerned with problems of one sort or another with renault cars.

Other makes have problems too.., its just few of their problems are posted here

If you like the looks and the engine spec and cost/condition seem right , there are no"models to avoid" afaik.

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
