It's true that new Renaults are on 12 month service intervals but what about all the cars sold on 18K or two year intervals. If Renault now think 18K or two years is now too long does the interval on all these cars come down to 12 months?

Quote Numero Uno. OG from elsewhere

Can I just throw in that this is such an important point that everybody should satisfy themselves, either from their service book or a call to their servicing dealer, that they are working to the correct service schedule for their individual car.
Currently in hondo's garage:

As soon as i purchased my 2002 Tourer I immediately halved all service intervals.

The 18000 intervals were a marketing ploy and now even Renault have realised they were to long.
Currently in davesss's garage:
2002 Laguna Sports Tourer 1.8 Dynamique Moondust VF1KGOB, Fiat Siecento Micheal Schumaker, Kawasaki KLE M/Cycle and a cheap Mountain Bike.
