Petrol model cars can be just as economical as Diesels nowadays but that's mainly around town but as already mentioned the DPF on diesels is a real pain if you mainly do short journeys as i found out to my dismay some years ago so choosing a petrol engined Scenic is a wise move and although choosing a 1.6 engine might not be all that appealing to some it is actually the wiser choice on short journeys due to better economy than the 2.0 and cheaper insurance and as already mentioned by Lagdti cheaper tax , oh and welcome aboard ..

Hyundai Accent 1.5 CDX ..,1998 ,1.6 Megane Rte 8v gone but not forgotten.
