Re: advice needed please

Here's some outline information on Karmann

Perhaps have a look at Parkers Price Guide website/books as they give details on model variants, and maybe Autotrader too?

Is there an original supplying dealer sticker on the number plates - could you check with them re the model details?

What information have you in the service history - any invoice for a 72K service ?

Re: advice needed please

when it comes to insurance, go with what it says on the v5, you cant go wrong with that

at the end of the day, you said you got it at a good price , and if its a great car in good nick, your doing ok

if you cant prove the cambelt change, get it done please, id hate for your next post to be " my cambelt has destroyed my engine "

Re: advice needed please

Looking on here,

It makes no mention of Karmann as a special edition.

I know that Karmann manufactured many convertibles, and it may well be the case that assembly was outsourced to them.

Now if this is a genuine special edition, you may have to trawl through the spec sheet for each model to see if you have items which would either be cost options or unavailable (i.e. something which distinguishes it as being 'special').

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

Re: advice needed please

TBH I think these edition are a load of
& just a name.

I'm still trying to figure out why mine was called a Tech Run & my opinion is, it was the parts they needed to get rid of before the Meg 3 was released.
