Re: advice needed please

One of the factors that would definitely swing it for me is how long the previous owner kept the car (short-term is bad).

My own perspective is that it's always better (financially and emotionally) to regret selling a car, rather than regret keeping it.

Personally, I wouldn't spend a penny more on the car unless I was 100% sure of getting it back or adding value. At the end of the day, you are honest, and won't misrepresent the car, so you will be in a morally better place than the person who sold the car to you.

It's not your responsibility to guarantee the car or to right the previous owner's wrongs.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

Re: advice needed please

thankyou velsatisfied - the name on the logbook is not the person i bought it off & he acquired it june 2010-the guy who took it for it,s jan mot(reciept attached) is neither the guy i bought off or the guy on the logbook !! although i suppose that doesn,t mean anything - taking things into consideration i think that if i had the cam done plus the bodywork i doubt very much wether i would re-coup that money so rather than risk maybe throwing money away i will sell as it stands that way i think i will possibly only lose a small amount if any - i must admit that i have always bought private, never used a dealer & this is the first time i,ve come unstuck so i suppose my luck had to run out sometime. lol
