Angry help!!! laguna coupe rear rattle noise!!

currently driving renault laguna coupe GT 180 dci 58 plate and low miles.

There is a very odd sounding rattle ( like metal on metal ) coming from what i beieve to be the rear of the car.

Car has been up on ramps and all suspension components appear to be in order. So nothing obvious is loose or missing

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the outcome? You cant hear the noise when the windows are up but can when they are down.

Very worrying and really need to get this sorted.

Did you try and see in what shape is the catalysator. Tyr shaking it by hand or hit it with something solid, see if there is any noise.

Re: help!!! laguna coupe rear rattle noise!!

It could just be a loose fitting on the exhaust heat shield and don't go smacking the catalytic converter with anything hard as you could break it if it's not already broken and i'd advise you to get some one to blip the throttle every now and again while you lie on the floor at the side of your car and listen , if you've got a piece of plastic or steel tubing then you can use it like a doctors stethoscope as it's a lot more direct and you don't actually need your ear touching it for it to work either lol ..
