You paid cash - good; I'm glad you are not paying stupid interest rates.

Good luck

I know this is stressfull for you. you have spent your budget on the car you wanted and you feel disappointed and let down, but my advice would be take onboard all the advice given. Get your money back. Dealing with a company that reacts like they have with you, does not bode well for the future. The companys internal politics/gossip, is really not your concern.
You can be pretty sure that murphys law will kick in and that something else will go wrong with it and you will have all the stress over again.
Have to agree, one of two scenarios has been played out here; either its just bad luck that something has gone wrong so soon after what should be a happy event - and you are suffering due to some internal wrangling at the garage. Or, the garage sold the car knowing there were faults on it (that's why you say it was cheap - quick sale), and hoped that none would surface until the warranty ran out.

I would get rid, get your money back, and look elsewhere, I fear you have tested their mettle, and found them sadly lacking at the first hurdle. Think about this, they would not offer you a full refund if there was no possibility/likelihood of further faults occuring...

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

not on the isde of the dealer here but if a car is sitting some months waiting to be sold ,,the sealing surfaces of waterpump shafts, wheel cylinders etc can just leak after a few days and not be spotted before being sold to the public.
im talking from experience either doing homers or buying non runners that have been sitting then getting them through their MOT and 10 miles later waterpump or wheel cylinder failure. its a nuisance but it happens
