Laguna 111 and Renault service

Being relatively new to this forum I have noticed a lack of articles/gripes about the Laguna 111. The Laguna 11 and 1 were the subject of lots of moans and groans on nearly every car site in the UK. Honest John doesn't list any serious or indeed any problems with the new Laguna nor does he mention any recalls. Compare this to his appraisal of the Laguna 11 which has endless lists of faults. The least said about what people think of the 1.9dci engine the better. If you don't believe me take a look at Autotrader owner reviews. Does this mean that the LaGUNA 111 is vastly superior to the other models or is it just too new? I notice that it has been discontinued in the UK but not in the rest of Europe where the model line up has been reduced.

Honest John and others think this car is being greatly undervalued but is suffering from the terrible reputation of it's predecessors. I would be interested to read other forum members views on the subject.

I have nothing but good things to say about Renault customer service. I sent them a copy of my V60 and my license and they provided all I need to know about my car's history. Just don't ask a dealer!

PS I love mine, she is a pleasure to drive and equally as good a car as my X type jaguar was and much much quieter.

That is very true, plus also the fact that it is no longer 'current' in the UK market, will also have a negative effect on the residual values.

They do seem to have made a concerted effort to improve the car's reliability and quality of components used - it's just a shame that the 'sins of the father' proved too much of a curse for this model to be given a chance to impress.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
