Not sure i want to go back to the original garage

If the scenic was a ford i could go to any ford main dealer in Europe and have the part fitted totally F.O.C but if i choose to return to the original garage ford would only reimburse the garage the cost of the part and not any labor, is this the same for Renault ?

The garage owner is a friend and if i could return to Renault this would save alot of hassle

If the garage owner is a friend then what is the problem. Surely the friend would want to correct any problem, not only for you but for any customer that they had done work for, and the part had failed in such a short time scale.

Sorry to drag this up, it's just relevant.

I fitted a new dephaser pulley about 13 1/2 months ago to a Renault 1.6 Megane.

It had timing belt and water pump at the same time, and even uses genuine Renault oil filter and elf oil .

Yet it seems to of failed again and rattles on start up?

Do I still have a warranty on this as it's more than 12 months?

Re: Parts Warranty

There should be a warranty on all parts but you will have to take the issue of the labour charge with the garage that did the work..
