latest fuel problem is reported as silicon

Trading standards Cambridgeshire have confirmed that silicone has been found in the affected petrol. More news to follow . KEEP AN EYE ON THESE LINKS.

Tesco and Morrisons still not saying that there is anything wrong with their fuel.
Currently in Asterix's garage:
Renault Megane Scenic II 06 1.5dci Oasis in Eclipse Grey Metallic but it is not in a garage

I think they'll have to as all the results seem to point out that there was an excess of silicone added at the storage depot. I've always avoided cheap supermarket petrol as it doesn't have sufficient additives to protect the engine and my cars have always run badly on it. It's false economy as you get more MPGs from good petrol. I'd rate Shell as best followed by BP and Esso. They mix in additives at the refinery and are probably more meticulous about it.
