Potential Trafic purchase

G'day All,
I've recently spent about five weeks in the UK after the Manx Grand Prix and couldn't help bt notice the number of Renault Trafic's and variants on the road.
I have been considering a van purchase for my business and a Trafic what I am keen on.
Now I've looked at new but the budget really says a used model is the go. I have a well equipped workshop and was a mechanic in the past so what I need to know is what is a fair mileage/lifespan for a Trafic with a manual trans. I se no point in looking at something that is constantly needing work but if they are a good high mileage bus then that's great.
Your experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Potential Trafic purchase

We're now on our second trafic LWB, having bought both from new. We did 95K in the first in 4.5 years and barely laid a spanner on it. Only issues were front disks and a balljoint at the last MOT, a handbrake cable and a set of gearchange cables, plus the usual service consumables. Sticking to the service intervals (or better if you like) and regular maintainace- dealing with things as they arrise is the right form for this. they drive great and are very comfortable.

I wouldn't buy anything else personally.

Don't forget the Nissan Primastar and the Vauxhall Vivaro are the same vehicle albeit with different badges.
