Where do I stick my key?

Just purchased a Renault Laguna 2.0 T Dynamique with keyless entry...the keycard has a key in it but we've no idea where to stick it if the battery in the keycard fails. There was no owner manual. We are in the back of beyond a lot of the time with no phone signal etc, so entry to supplies is essential.

The emergency access lock is on the nsf exterior door handle. Its behind a cover, that is also removed by using the emergency key.

Do check that it's the right key, and that it has actually been cut. If the key is a replacement you might be stuck one dark night.

Re: Where do I stick my key?

And remember its the passenger door because they only cater for LHD cars. I saw a Scenic come in the other day with the drivers door lock cover mullered where they though it was under the cover. They butchered the cover and then proceeded to pry bar the door open at the top and dent/damage the roofline as well. The poor sod was very sheepish when we went to the passenger door, flipped the cover off and opened the door!
