Hi ggsumo

Any problem with the vehicles battery will generally illuminate the red warning light on the dash.

The Megane/Scenic II have the facility to check the battery level in your key card when its inserted into the reader. It will display "low battery" if the card battery's are running low...this might be what you are experiencing ????

Question Low Battery Message

I also have the same issue, Tried swapping cards around and still get the same problem. Its driving me nutts. Ive booked it in to the local renault dealer next week so if they find anything I will let you all know.
Well, car has been in to the dealer..... they swapped the card battery around and guess what ?? same issue.... booked car back in for next week once again. Will update again next week.
A week later I have my car back, Problem appears to be solved ! A replacement alternator was raplaced under warranty. Fingers crossed the issue wont return. One minor moan though, now I have the car back there appears to be a loose bolt or something somewhere which moves every time I drive off. It appears to come from the glovebox area and my investigations are under way.
