Not done it myself, but I've seen it being done on mine and its a ***** of a job, especially if the rear screen is curved both vertically and horizontally.

The way to do it (believe it or not) is to mould the tint with the backing paper still on it on the outside of the screen first using a heat gun (or a hair dryer ) You need to do this with backing paper facing upwards.

Once you got a nice mould and you've trimmed the excess, you can then transfer it to the inside.

Word of warning though.... easy with the heat gun and / or even the hair dryer as you can apparently shatter the screen.

Just a bit of advice regarding some comments, if you are going to tint your windows do it with plently of light, don't start even early evening as you will be rushing and second make sure that it is a warm day, their is less dust around then and the tint will stick better

Laguna window tinting

I have had all the rear windows of my 54 plate laguna sport tourer tinted with a medium tint, but have left the front windows standard on the advise of the company that did the tints.
Does anyone know what the standard tint is, so that i can find out if i can get a light tint added.
I think the car would look a lot better with all the windows having some level of tint.
I might go to the police station and ask them if they will test the front windows so I get it straight from them.

Window tint machines

Do the police have to have them calibrated every day and if so can you request the calibration certificate?
Itís just that my GF got pulled and done for it yesterday

Personally I am not too sure tbh. I would have thought so but as it doesn't get you points then they might not need to be.

We have someone in the force on the forums, if they come on then hopefully they will be able to give an answer if no-one else has by then.

On another note though. I do believe you need to ask for it at the time, not too sure if they keep a record after each day, might be wrong though.
