newby possibly purchasing a mk2 master

Hi guys.
I was looking at buying a new flat bed to replace my rotten transit and ive been offered a 1999 2.5td master chassis cab that looks like it fits the bill.

how are these things for rust and what are known problems that I should be looking for to help me avoid buying a lemon?.
am I correct in thinking it would be the 100hp engine? what are they like to drive/noise much does a chassis cab weigh?

sorry about all the questions but I couldn't find much info regarding older vans using the search feature and my budget wont stretch to newer more shiney trucks.

regards, Gaz,
