Re: Espace, Which is THE model/engine to go for?

Have a 2.0dci Espace (M9R Nissan engine) in the full fat 175 bhp flavour.
Has done 112000 miles now (56 plate), previously owned by a friend form new and now me. Without tempting fate, has been very reliable and see no reason for it to not give a good 100000 miles more with ease.
Refined and punchy for an oil burning bus too!

Re: Espace, Which is THE model/engine to go for?

Just a generic comment on 7 seater MPVs.
We've had both Galaxy and Sedona. Both suffered from usual people mover problem of plenty of seats but little storage space. With 3 kids we rarely needed 7 seats but did need luggage space.
Both almost permanently had one seat removed which solved the problem. No need to discount a model cos of luggage space IMO.
Given the choice I'd also go for a bigger engine then smaller. Underpowered cars use more fuel generally then a larger engined version of same car.

Re: Espace, Which is THE model/engine to go for?

I am Renault through and through, had modus, scenic II, grand scII, and for last 4 years grand espace 07 2.0 175 DCI, great car for long journeys with lots of baggage. Very comfy.dome most of the Europe. Engine is great powerful and reliable but minus is FAP always was a problem going completely loopy. Had it remaped, got more power, better economy smokes a little though. Still love the car and can't find a better one (speed and space).
