leak/non starter.

Does the immobiliser light flash when you try and start the car? If not what are the symptoms? (like smoke black / blue / white) not turning over at all etc.

The leak is in an unfortunate place as it could cause the remote receiver to stop working, this in turn will cause the car to immobilise. If it does try this:
1. Remove the central locking fuse.
2. Operate the internal door locking switch 3 times each way.
3. Refit the fuse.
4. The immobiliser should be temporarily disabled.

Hope this helps Chris.

PS Yes Renaults are a touch dodgy, especially in the electrics front! Try removing the door trim and cleaning up the wiring contacts. Then go to the switch.
