headlight stalk removal..

well after a month of spending money on my lag2...

coil spring / track rod end / rear bushes / rear shocker /
front discs / back discs /......

it now appears that my main beam wont stay on....only flash....ive ordered one from a breakers yard ...(MOT next week) how easy is this to fit? do i have to remove air bag/sterring wheel....?

any info most appreciated

Hi no i think you just have to remove the steering column surround by taking the torque screws out and taking the plastic trim away disconnecting the connector from the stalk to where it connects too,i think the stalk itself is screwed or bolted on also so you will have to loosen them and replace with the new one and thats job done all the best Donald.

As donald says its pretty easy you need to turn the wheel to get to the mounting screws but no real problems

seperate the trim just behind steering wheel. lokk behind your steering wheel from underneath. 3 star torx 20 screws remove and then pull the top and bottom away from each other. then turn your steering wheel left 90 o 2 smaller torx screws and disconnet wiring. then push in clip at top part & bottom part of part to slide it out. refit in reverse order
