Nice idea Kris - I have tried this before but when I worked out the extra travel costs (fuel, wear and tear, etc) in getting to the cheapest filling station any savings I made were swallowed up. In many cases I was in a negative position.
Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)

Additionally I live in Northern Ireland and it has been discovered as many as one in three filling stations were selling laundered diesel or diluted petrol. There have been numerous case where car and truck owners have had to pay thousands for repairs as a result. To combat the situation one fuel supplier has introduced measures to stop this. The tanker drivers from the company lock and seal the filling station tanks after filling and they only have the key. Luckily one of these controlled stations is only about a half mile from where I live.

This is a good site, which I've already signed up for.

Was down in Keighley over the weekend, and since I knew in advance where we would be going (and when refuelling would be required), I was able to incorporate the stop at the cheapest outlet available locally (without any special travelling), or the dreaded motorway rip-off.

Was able to get diesel @ 92.9p per litre, rather than 97.9p just 2 miles away from that outlet (when you have an 80 litre tank, its a worthwhile saving).

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
