I always use a hand car wash, I think it's worth is for a fiver. We also have a valeting guy who comes to the office, he does a mini valet for a tenner which includes the windows inside and a vac out.

Before all the eastern european hand car washes started up I used to use a local IMO, generally speaking they were OK but the dreaded swirls always appeared.

It is filtered by the wash plant, but no doubt a lot gets through, especially if they don't change the water often (even at all).
Sadly this happens quite a lot. Although the newer designs aren't set up to allow water recycling.
Some of the latest truck washes are great machines. Computer controlled with swipe card operation. Pull the truck in, swipe the card and the wash starts. No money required. The computer automatically adds the wash to the haulage firms account.

I had my rear spoiler ripped off my Citroen AX GT by a Garage car wash system. I tried to complain but was told to read the car wash notice.

Have a read next time your thinking about cleaning your car at a car wash. Maybe you'll think twice after reading all the disclaimers !

If your any sort of car enthusiast you would not ask if auto car washes are OK, If you just use a car as you would use any other mundane tool then there very good!
