Laguna II got a fat slug in washer bottle

Anyone know to remove the washer bottle I was filling it tonight with a watering can and I noticed a slug disappear out the end. I guess I had better remove it before it decomposes.

It's a bigger job than you think, first remove the whole front bumper!

Instructions here.........

1. Disconnect Wiring plugs from w/screen washer pump and headlamp pump.

2. Unscrew upper securing bolt then disconnect the fluid hoses from the pumps and release the reservoir from the inner wing panel.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !

How about overfilling the washer bottle in the hope that it floats to the top. or try syphoning the contents of the bottle out with the largest size of tube that you can find.

Suggest that you put three capfuls of Milton Fluid in the bottle first, this will sterilise it, kill the slug and then you could indeed try flooding the bottle.
Taking the front out is a last resort procedure.

Hi Derek - try this old gardeners tip - to kill a slug pour salt over it and it will dissolve into a gooey mush. Syphon out as much water as you can - pour in a concentration of salty water wait for 30 mins or so and fill up with clean hot water. You may have to repeat the process a number of times but don't use the washers in the meantime other wise you'll block the pump.
