If it has been a pressure plate problem then there is high risk it will have affected both the friction plate and the release bearing - so they won't take the chance.
When it comes to warranty work the dealers only get around 50% of the full customer labour rate.
Toyota have been hit hard particularly due to manufacturing faults so Toyota and their deaalers are falling over backwards to try to regain their once impeccable record. Having said that they haven't issued a recall for the clutch problems so I wonder how their customers would fair if the problem arose outside warranty.
