Red face Abs - Serv Warning

I have just purcahsed a used Mk2 Laguna and Have problem of the ABS and SERV warning lights that remain on when ignition is switched on, there does not appear to be any actual problems experienced when breaking.

Can anyone advise if they have experienced a simialr problem and on doing so, what was the cause.

Thanks in anticipation of a helpful response.

even if the warning lights come on, your brakes will work correctly but the ABS system will not be working to stop your wheels locking up. There will be a fault somewhere in the ABS system, all I know is it needs a diagnostic test to find out which component has gone wrong. ?

Good Luck

The first place to start is to check that the ABS sensor connectors are not corroded due to water ingress.. This is a common problem on the Laguna II..

Trace the abs wire to each connector that are hidden under the plastic arch liners in each wheel arch. The connectors just pull apart, but can be very tight..
