Does BP Ultimate diesel make a difference?

Just a general question, do BP Ultimate Diesel make any difference?
I have just tried it and at 110p per litre am wondering if it is worth it?

Any other members using it?

A couple of members have tried it and thought it made a big improvement on MPG

Hi Chaz 1562, tried v max today engine runs smoother with more grunt from low revs. Always had trouble with the car pulling at 30 in fourth but not with this fuel, not to sure if i want to pay 110 a litre, having said that normal diesel is heading towards this price.

Well the resolution on the Laguna's trip computer is lousy to say the least, but based on doing over 100 free-flowing motorway miles with the cruise control set to 70, I get 53.0 MPG out of BP Ultimate, and exactly the same out of their regular diesel.

If it does make any difference, then it's too marginal to justify the price difference. Well that seems to be the case on my car, anyway.

During the summer months from an empty tank I filled up with this BP Ultimate stuff twice over a two week period. The difference in MPG was more or less zilch, you can believe me I haven't tried this ultimate stuff since.
