I was travelling from Gillingham to Blandford a few weekends ago,and I was followed by a Police car through Shaftesbury.I didn't have a problem with that,my car is taxed,MOT'd,Insured and I wasn't speeding.......

We came to a roundabout,I wanted to take the first exit,so got into the left hand lane,Mr.Plod got into the lane next to me.........fine I thought,he's taking the second or third exit.....didn't think any more of it,until he cut me up by taking the same exit as me.I thought, fine,he's in a hurry to get somewhere.

I then followed him for 8 miles behind a line of traffic.....obviously not in a hurry then. When we got into Blandford,we both went straight accross the next roundabout(no indication from him as to where he was going/exiting to),then came to a set of traffic lights where you can turn either left or right. He kept us guessing (no indicators),and decided to turn right.....

We followed him for another half mile or so when he eventually worked out what the stalk behind the steering wheel actually did as he turned right........into the Police station!

Well Done PC Whoeveryouare. If anyone but you had driven like a complete ******** in a manner similar to yours, they would have been pulled over.......T~~~!

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Blimey .. Shouldn’t get me started on what I hate about other peoples driving!!

Tailgaters... why do people do this?? ... it annoys me so much I slow down ... the other day me and bf were on our way back from Silverstone only to have a private ambulance (of all vehicles) tailgating me down the motorway. now if it was an emergency and they had their lights on I would have let them past but as they were being idiots I didn't as so I sat quite happily in the fast lane doing 70mph lol

Fog lights on when its not foggy – that’s just down right annoying... even worse is people with fog lights on when its raining ... rear fog lights are just so dazzling in the rain

Using mobile phones while driving – have police stopped stopping people for this? I see loads of people everyday driving whilst on their phone!

People speeding past schools – I think that there should be variable speed limits outside schools… I think that during going in and coming out times speed limits should be 20mph past schools. I quite often see people going way too fast past schools when kids could just run out.

Police – why do they think its ok for them to not indicate or stick to the speed limits!!

I think that’s enough for now or I’d be here all day lol

All of the above.

Not only do I drive I cycle, so my hate list is vast:

Black cab drivers who think they own the road (all of them). When has it been ok to u turn in front of oncoming traffic?
Picadilly circus, multiple taxis me on a bike, seems to be common practice these days to not indicate.
Jumping lights Why? I had someone blast past me through a red only to hit a car in front.

I could go on but I won't

oh and before you think it when on the bike I dont jump lights or ride on the pavement and I have a good set of lights at all times. I value my safety too much not to abide by the law but last time I got clipped ( while in a bike lane) the driver still had a pop at me.

Glad to hear you have a good set of lights on your bike Chris
But, why, oh bl00dy why, do so many bike riders insist on having no lights on their bike when riding in the dark?
Soon the clocks will go back and two winter phenomena will return;-
1. Idiots who can only manage to drive at 47mph on unlit roads.
2. Prats on push bikes with no lights (some go one better by dressing in black as well)

Just read every one of these posts, and some corkers in there! However, I have one particular hate which does drive me nuts: People driving the wrong way up/down supermarket car park lanes! They are one way, and have arrows marking their direction! Yes, they are wide, but that is to allow people to park safely! My local Tesco is particularly bad for it, especially women who just look at you blankly as you point to the arrow on the floor!

In response to some of the others - sidelights are not illegal - in fact in built up areas with street lights you are allowed to drive with only your sidelights on - dipped beam is only a legal requirement outside built up areas. I used to hate people for using only sidelights, until I found this out!

And although I don't drive a wagon, I spent 4 years working for a haulage company and I can assure you the lack of respect for, and knowledge of wagons is horrendous - people seem to think they are the same to drive as a 8 foot car! Although like someone else said, foreign wagons are a different matter - far too many are illegal killing machines.

And, finally, the 'hand on mouth' thing had me in stitches - for years, growing up I watched my dad do it - now, like everyone else, I find myself doing it! A proper Peter Kaye observation there!
