We've had a lot of problems with de-phaser pulleys reported on the forums,but not the
pressure control solenoid.
I wouldn't have thought that it should be on all the time,but hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can offer their thoughts!.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
Currently in Lagdti's garage:
2004 Saab 9-5 HOT Aero and a 2001 Audi A3 1.8 Turbo
