I've spent nothing on mine which I had from new 2 years in 12 months time. ...

Although I did buy some of that Rain-X windscreen stuff which is brilliant if you can get up to about 60 + MPH, no wipers required at 60 + even the spray from waggons shoots off over the roof.

Since buying new (and looking for every bit of wood in the place), my car has done 115,000 miles (clio diesel). In this time, other than the standard services, cambelts etc, it has had one set of front brake pads and a rear wheel bearing. An alternator and ERG valve was done under warrenty. Tyres every 35000 miles regardless of make (usually Toyo, Pirelli or Michelin). Can't say that's bad. Think front suspension bushes will be next, about due.
All my other Renault's donlt seem to need bits, certainaly none off the shelf.
Currently in 4cv's garage:
1956 4CV Sport De Luxe, Clio x 1 (Sold 1 at 155000 miles, other at 12 years and bought another) and a Laguna GST, Vel Satis ZE, Megane ZE

Mine needs 4 new tyres and a new exhaust mid section at the moment... Still, nothing Renault specific there, just inevitable costs of motoring
