Angry i need some advice *fixed*

i bought my megan from a dealer 3 months ago, i paid them 180 for one years tax.
The tax disc came with the car, a few weeks ago i received a letter from the post office telling me the cheque used to buy the tax had bounced, went back to the dealer and was told it would be sorted out.
Received another letter last week telling me i must send my tax disc back as it is void due to none payment even though they know it is the dealer who is responsible.
Went back to the dealer he promised it would be sorted out by 12noon yesterday, still not sorted, am looking at a 1000
fine if this continues. am sick with worry.

I take it the the extra payment for the tax is mention on the reciept? Tell them that you intend to report them for fraud unless they get it sorted by close of business tomorrow.

Cheers Chris

I guess the threat of a letter to the dealers local papers may encourage them to sort it too

I think you first must establish if the dealer has sent the V5 to DVLA and registered the car in your name.
If he has, then its unlikely he can tax the car without this document.
If that is the case, then I would use the V5 tear off slip to buy your own tax giving you peace of mind, then sue the thieving b*stard in the Small Claims Court. Good Luck!

Political correctness defined:
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end
