A good buy?

I am looking for a Laguna II dci estate and have found a 1.9 privilage on a y plate that has had sat nav and cruise added when new. Its up for 3695 and has 86000 miles on the clock and full service hystory. The car has the balance of a 2 year parts and labour warrenty that runs till oct 09 and is transferable. The car drove well and the engine pulled well in every gear with no sign of any smoke out the back that i could tell. Doest it seem like a good car to buy?

Hi owen sounds nice but it is a bit pricey, you should be looking for a 52 plate for that money, but it all depends if!, it`s private or a stealer as they will have youre eye`s out !. this one sounds as if it is a stealer!

Newbie Wanting a Guna

Hi people

I'm new to the forum and looking for advise on buying a Laguna estate preferably an 01-03 model. I currently drive a Mondeo estate that i hate and want to join the Renault brigade! I'm leaning towards the 1.8 or 2.0 petrol and may go down the 1.9 or 2.2 diesel route depending on what opinions i get back from you.
I'll be using the car to do mainly motorway driving and it will be my main mode of transport to and from work so reliability is a must. With this in mind could you give me any pointers on what i should be looking for when purchasing and also what the common problems may be with the model i'm looking at?
Any advise would be very much appreciated as i intend to purchase as soon as possible.

Diesels are ok I have one ;o) Albeit in a MUCH bigger car, But if your a "driver" you will want the petrol ones. Remember dervs rev to usually 5k max so are more about the long haul.

Take your time in buying any car! Make sure EVERYTHING works and get as new as you can afford!

Search this forum for LAG2 faults and things, see what goes wrong on them before you buy

Welcome to the forums btw!
