Smile Warranty

The dealler who sold the car has to give a warranty, although what this actually covers can vary, but the car has to be fit for purpose and of merchantable quality, which it appears not to be.

Not sure what the minimum warranty a dealer has to give (three or six months) but if Renault are unwilling/unable to help then go back to the dealer asap.

Merry Christmas

I have recently had to replace all 4 ignition coils on my 54 plate scenic 1.6 which went within 3 weeks of each other.

Car was 6 weeks out of warranty (registered Jan'05) and done 22.5k miles.

Wrote to Renault Customer Services to see what could be done & Customer Services Manager rang me immediately personally & refunded the whole amount of what I had paid the RAC - no quibble

Well done Renault!
