Hey, glad you managed to do it. It is a bit awkward doing it from laying in the back seat but at least it is done now.
Just think, next time it will take you 15 mins start to finish.

Thanks 5th wheel, glad to be of help to someone and hopefully save them a load of money from garage or dealer charging hundreds to do the same job.

Thanks to Phil & Davmech, after reading your thread I managed to fix the stuck rear door on my Clio Grande 2000 reg.
Great tip that the Megane rear locks are the same, as my local breakers only had 2-door Clio's. After getting the replacement I found that it would release by inserting an electrical screwdriver through one of the holes in the "black plastic bit", so I got the longest thin screwdriver I could find and with a lucky prod inside the door on the handle side it opened without having to break it first.
I wish I paid more attention to Davmech's tip of detaching the"push rod" from the outside handle first and and then re-attacheing when the handle offered up to door from the outside....
I tried to reconnect the push rod to the lock inside the door but managed to break of the plastic retaining tab...doh. But doing it the way Davmech suggested was much better.
Thanks again for guys for saving me some money and an MOT failure
