Thanks for replying spottedhaggis. I will see how much my local dealers charge for the clean.

what do you think guyz about the following oil ? I mean is it a good brand and the right type? Its a lot cheaper on ebay .

FULLY SYNTHETIC 5W/40 ENGINE OIL MERC,PORCHE,BMW ect on eBay, also Suspension Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 07-Jan-08 09:10:22 GMT)

How much do you think it would cost to get the cam/timing belt and pulleys done? Also should I get the water pump done at the same time? with my old clio I had timing and pump done at the same time as it worked out cheaper to get both done at the same time.

Sorry about all the questions...

50!. is the right spec for your car,but I would say the price is a bit steep......

As for cambelt change, then the water pump is always advisable,as is the auxillary belt.In a decent independant garage you'd be looking at 400 all in for the job.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Comma syner-D is what I use in mine, about 25 quid from a motor factors, also according to the book at the factors, the Laguna should use Red antifreeze as opposed to blue or green, Mine had cambelt, tensioner, clutch and rear subframe bushes all done 5000 miles before I bought it, Garage bill was nearly 1200

Don't use any old antifreeze, the modern radiators need to use the correct antifreeze due to what the cores of the radiator are made of. The wrong antifreeze will cause damage to the cooling system.
I work for a garage close to Leeds town centre if this would be any good for you regarding the repair. If you want a quote for the work i will get one tomorrow.
If it is too far for you try Ladyroyd garage in Bradford, i have dealt with them in the past and seem very reasonable.

laguna - owner manual in franch language

I'm a new member of this fabulous site and this is my first post.

I own a Laguna II for six months, bought with 140 000km on clock (model 2004). It is bought in France, with all manuals and other documents (service book) in Franch language, which I'm not familiar with.

Is there an on-line (pdf) database with Renault owner manuals in English which can be downloaded for free?
