I have suffered the same problem tonight. Operating the rear washer causes water to spray from the front jets, and the rear wiper to wipe. (Front wash/wipe works normally).
A couple of posts say "new pump", so does anyone know how easy/difficult is it to get out on the Scenic II (both for doing a bit of diagnosis, and for replacement?)
Is a non-working rear wash/wipe an MOT failure? I can't think why as it's not a safety point.....
Edited to add - problem started intermittently during the very icy spell recently, I suspect I may have knackered he pump by operating it when things were frozen up.....
