Any easy way to find out what options are fitted?

Just bought a 2005 Grand Scenic 1.9 DCI Dynamique, metallic grey. Will be collecting on Saturday.

The car is quite clean, and in good condition. Looks like it's unused on the passenger and rear seats, but the mileage is high, so the drivers seat has a little wear.

I'm not sure what the basic spec on that model was. But, I'm sure it has the keyless entry/start (black sensors behind door handles, and button in the door handle). I'm sure it also has auto lights/wipers, which I think is an option. I think it has auto parking brake too.

Are all the options listed anywhere? Is there any easy way to know which options have been fitted, and/or which ones are standard?

Chat up your local dealer, ask them to check the car's Vin number ( the one on the nearside at the bottom of the windscreen) against renault 's vehicle database. If in a good mood they will be able to call it up on thier system which should list the full detailed factory fitted spec of your particular Scenic including things that you can't see like ABS, TCS , and so on. It also has the cars' history from whenever its been into any renault dealer in the country. The dealer is'nt obliged to share this info with you as its really for dealers only but catch them in the right mood .........

Short of getting hold of a 2005 Scenic brochure, it's a bit hit and miss. They tend to muck around with the specs a lot.

'Keyless car' may not be what you're thinking. They're all 'keyless' in that you have the card instead of the key. It's the 'handsfree' card that lets you unlock the car and start the engine without removing the key from your pocket. They all have the little windows behind the door handles, whether they're handsfree or not.

As Horatio has said the spec can vary wildly from month to month with Renault depending on promotions that Renault had going at the time also Some Renault dealerships would order into stock a higher spec model for any promotion or special deals they could get from Renault

I also think that a dealer should be in a good mood to help you with this one... So, it's maybe better to take a look at the respective press releases by Renault for your car (it takes some time, but you have to be patient !!).
I discovered this one for the Megane/Scenic 2005 release and that for some limited 2005 editions.
Hope this was helpful ...
